Karlessa Truxillo has 13 years’ experience as an International Trade Compliance professional within the Oil and Gas, Semiconductor, Aerospace, and Defense industry, including 9 years with corporate compliance emphasis.
She has served as an ITAR empowered official, monitored registration renewals and determined product export jurisdictions. Since 2011, she has applied her expertise in trade compliance to oversee business operations regarding global procedures and standards, US Customs regulations, harmonized tariff schedules, ECCN classifications, EAR/ITAR compliance, and obtained export licenses via SNAP-R.
Through risk assessments, she has helped companies avoid potential penalties and identified duty savings. In addition, she has managed compliance for business units in Canada, Mexico, Netherlands, Guyana, Singapore, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and has facilitated internal training with international business units on exports controls, global sanctions and additional international trade regulations.
